Telephonist / Receptionist

Volunteer Telephonists play an important role in the provision of our community transport.
We are currently growing the role to include reception work and front of house, to assist staff with visitors and enquiries to the office.
Telephonists operate the transport database, recording bookings and organising transport.
Working from the office around 2 days per month, from 10am to 3pm, answering the dedicated Car Scheme telephone, they will liaise with clients and Car Scheme drivers, to help vulnerable get to healthcare appointments, services, shopping, social events, etc..
Telephonists are our front of house meet and greet people and may be the first point of contact for the company. They may stream calls and take messages for staff team members and deal with enquiries to the office.
Telephonists may also operate the accessible vehicle database.
Full training and support is given and expenses are reimbursed.
