Mobility Scooter & Wheelchair Loan Service

Short term solution to getting around.

BSCTC offer a mobiliy scooter and wheelchair loan service. There are also a small number of mobility scooters available under a FREE loan service (on a first come first served basis).
Available for loan from A​pril to October - WEATHER PERMITTING.
This is a great service for holiday makers and visitors, allowing you to leave your bulky equipment at home and make room for more people, pets and suitcases in your vehicle.
For locals it also offers a great short term solution to helping with your mobility issues, eg. while waiting on your own equipment to be delivered, or after accidents or injury.​

All enquiries and bookings for the mobility scooter and wheelchair loan must be made in advance.
Please note that the serv​ice is a FREE loan service, existing on donations from satisfied service users. There is a refundable deposit required at time of booking or pick up and proof of identification is required, preferably in photo form such as a blue disability badge, driving licence or passport.
Deposits of £100 for wheelchairs and £250 for mobility scooters will be fully refunded when the equipment is returned undamaged. Please note we can only accept cash or cheques.
We can deliver locally for a small charge.
Full operating instructions will be given on pick up or delivery.

AbilityNet helps people of any age and with any disability to use technology to achieve their goals at home, at work and in education. We do this by providing specialist advice services, free information resources and by helping to build a more accessible digital world.

The service has over 300 UK Volunteers and myself being one are very committed  to the cause to support older people and people with disability with any technology issues or training which is a completely free service.  we have volunteers scattered throughout Scotland.

We also support charities and organisations with technology issues and training.
